"For Christmas this year to our neighbors, I made jalapeño pepper sauce from our garden Megatron and Early varieties jalapeños. I didn't have enough, so I supplemented with our local organic farm's jalapeños to make a big enough batch.I got the recipe from one of the gal's in my FzB canning group.I also knitted dish/wash cloths to go with the hot sauce in 2 different patterns from cotton yarn I had in my 'stash'.One of our neighbors is a young family. The wife was recently diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer over the summer. She was given a clean bill of health right before the holidays (after her surgery). As an added special, I knitted her a wool scarf made from some of my very own hand-spun yarn and some small gifts for the children (both under the age of 6)."
